Recently I have been placing my Apple watch S6 on the charger while I do my morning shave and shower ritual. With 20 to 30 minutes on the charger I usually pick up 8 to 10 hours of charge. Will this type of charging eventually kill my battery life since it is not fully or close to fully discharging prior to the charge.

No, if anything it's beneficial. The sweet spot is to charge from around 35% to around 75%, that sort of range. A full charge/discharge cycle puts more stress on the battery.
