I am getting the iPhone at Best Buy and then I have to go somewhere and I won't be able to charge it there.
Will the phone have a fully charged battery out of the box?
If it is not fully charged, do I have to charge it before using it?
Some say that the beginning battery usage has an effect on the future of the battery. Some say that it doesn't matter at all for today's modern batteries.

So can someone clear that up for me?

Normally they don't come with a charged battery, and their instructions are first to full charge it before use. Might be something to do with safety.
