Does anyone who own both watches notice any differences between the charging? My wife has the 38 and I have the 42.

We are both on 1.0.1. When I wake up in the morning my 42mm Steel watch is cold and at 100%. Her 38mm Steel watch is warm and at 98%. I got mine May 8th. She got hers Tuesday May 19.

On her Apple Watch app it says she has fully charged. I'm just nervous if something is wrong. I think however it might be a software issue.

Anyone else experiencing warm watches when they wake up? ETC.

Hope all is well.

Just for reference;

My 38 is always 100% and cold in the morning. I have not done the 1.0.1 update.

Like the phones when the charge reaches 100% it will stop charging. The temp will drop and as the charge slowly drops the charging will begin again warming the watch up. It is warm while charging. Some of the charging rates can vary. One of my older iPhones would be at 98% when I woke up, if I left it alone it would usually go up to 100 and then I would remove it from the charger. Most of the time these days my current phone is always 100% when I wake.

The software can vary. Sometimes removing the device when it's reading 98% and then putting back on the charger you'll notice it goes to 100 almost immediately.

Nope that doesn't happen here. All my idevices are cool when I wake up. Including my Apple Watch and it's always at a 100%.

My wife turned the 38mm off and back on, it was at 93%. Now she has it on my charger and it's only at 96% currently. I think something might be wrong somewhere.

Edit: it was on my charger for an hour and only made it up to 96%. I think we may have to bring it in. I think I'll wait till they have replacements in store though.

Sometimes the software can give an erroneous reading. Such as 98% when it is actually charged to 100%. Try the complete shut down/restart - holding both buttons in till the screen goes black and the Apple logo comes back up. Then try charging again.

Also I remember a few times in the past seeing something similar on my phones and I used them until almost drained - to about 10% - and charged back up. After that it went to 100.
