Anyone know if using the usb port on the back of the time capsule to charge my iphone, is likely to cause any damage?

It seems to work ok, with power coming through and the iphone didn't complain.

Thanks

Jay

USB should be a pretty well regulated power source. I occasionally use my QNAP NAS for this purpose and have had no problems...

ANY device that is powered that has USB will be able to charge the iPhone it might not be able to read the iphone but it will charge it.

I have charged my iphone off my Xbox 360 (which unlike regular ipods can't be read at all probably due to it being a mobile OSX) my Cox SciAtl HD DVR cable box to name a few with absolutely no problems.
