It's nice to know that charging the ipad overnight does no harm. I find that the plug is quite cold in the morning as though it has no electricity running through it. It is mostly charged to 100% but occasionally only 99%. Does anyone know why this is. Thanks

Once it reaches 100% it actually stops charging, so as not to overcharge it. Then the technology allows it to drain up to around 4% before it will start charging it again if left on the charger for a while, like overnight. This prevents damage to the battery and keeps the electrons moving around in there.
