Is everyone else having these horrible charging times like I am? I am using the 10W wall charger, and with the screen off I am adding 1-2% over a period of 10 minutes. I am starting to wonder if my unit is defective. With the unit in use, I see no capacity added while "charging."

Could someone chime in on there charging over a period of time.

The battery on the new iPad is almost twice as big as the iPad2's, so it will take longer to charge.

So 12 hours to recharge the ipad is what you think is normal?

Because the new iPad has a 42.5wH (11,666mAh) battery. The iPad 2 had a 25wH (6944mAh) battery.

Charge time = forever.

2% every 10 minutes is 8 hours to charge from dead. iPad 2 is roughly 4 hours. Double the battery size double the charge. Completely understandable.

I've yet to charge this bad boy, but it would be nice to use it while it is charging. I am not saying either way, because I don't know for sure.
