I wanted an easy way to charge my mouse 2. I looked at some aftermarket stuff, but I purchased an Apple USB-C to lightning cable for around $20. Expensive, but I didn't want to take a chance with either fitment, function or longevity when it comes to using a cable with my excellent, but not cheap M5.

I usually just charge my Magic Mouse 2 by plugging it into the long (2m) lightning cable I have on the sideboard in my main living area. It is plugged into the small power adapter that came with my iPhone. The iPhone dock is there, too, as I use that "charging station" primarily for my iPhone. Usually I keep an eye on the battery status of the mouse and when it starts getting low I plan ahead to plug it in overnight so that the next day it will be ready for use again. I tend not to plug in things to my computer just for charging purposes, preferring to use the wall charging setup instead.
