A cord doesn't "click" in anymore. I have to push the cord in really hard to get it to charge. When I do get it to charge, any tiny wiggle will disconnect.

I have apple care +. Is this considered a manufacturers defect where I don't have to pay anything to get it replaced?

Thanks!

you should definitely contact Apple. they are the only ones who can tell you what they will actually do. but first, you might want to check the connector for pocket lint. used to happen to me all the time with the old 30 pin connector. some canned air or fine tweezers will clean that right out.

Sometimes co-workers or friends can try to pull one over on you by putting things on there too :)

Mine was doing this. Turns out I had a bunch of lint in the Lightning port. I cleaned it out with a little plastic fork and...good as new.
