started having a charging problem with a 2007 macbook pro couple years back, had to wiggle the cable and finally bought a new charger. that took care of it for quite a while but then nothing. the mag connection on the computer was looking pretty bad so i bought another board, the one that has the power connector, think its the
922-7187 820-1994 8201699 Left I/O magsafe board, easy enough to install but still nothing. thought, well its the same number must be the computer, so i bought a 2008 macbook pro but it came with the power connector that is at a angle, instead of straight like mine. just to make sur i tried the angled power connector on my 2007 and like magic it charges. now ii have a 2007 and a 2008 macbook pro, i know both antiques, but they work. now i have to buy another angled connector to wire to my old charger. anyway im happy again.
