Hi sorry for this really stupid question but just wanted to clarify something. When I plug in my XR and say remove the lightning cable after 5 seconds, there is a delay of about a second before the phone recognises that its no longer being charged. That's not the case with my iPhone 7 that instantly shows that its no longer charging. Can someone please verify if this is normal? Just plug in the XR for 5 seconds or so and then unplug - does the battery indicator instantly show its not charging or takes a second?

usually when a powered Lightning cable is pulled from the charging phone, the indicator on the phone shows it immediately

I’m on iOS 12 but the indicator displays the change immediately. Per the other comments, this doesn’t appear to have been tweaked on iOS 13, so the problem is elsewhere.

iPhone XR on iOS 13.2. Instant when I plug in but mine has the same 1 second delay when I unplug. I’d say it’s normal behavior and you shouldn’t worry about it.
