charging question

This just started. When I plug my phone into my car dock, is says it's recharging and the battery icon turns green, but it's not recharging. the battery level is always lower after my ride. this is the only device that does this. it's an XM Skydock. Any ideas?

If this is a crappy charger that only outputs 500mA or less (there are MANY out there!) it may not be providing enough current to charge the phone faster than it uses power to play XM radio or whatever it might be doing.

Check the output rating on the charger. Also, the charger may be defective.

it worked fine until a week ago.

Doesn't matter, it's probably a crappy charger.
