Just interested to see if anyone else has had their apple watch stop charging when updating due to overheating. I have noticed this twice with my Ultra 2 when updating to 10.2. I noticed it was warm during the update, and their was a message that charging was halted due to heat.

Probably not a big deal, as this only occurs only when updating the software. I do have a fast charger, so it's probably a combination of fast charging and the update process. Next time I might use a lower watt charger to see if I get the same response.

I’ve had that happen when I was doing both a deep charge and and a software update at the same time. My usual preference is to have the watch do an update from full or close to full charge, so I haven’t seen it more than once, but it’s not something I’m be alarmed about.
