Hi All,

Just curious what your regiment is in regards to charging the battery? On my new M1, I have been charging at night and then using it on battery during the day. I am on a lot of Zoom calls for work, and usually run the battery down to 45-50% by the end of the night. Anyway, I'm just curious how low you all let your batteries go before charging them?

Thanks!

li-ion batteries are the happiest at between 30 and 80% of charge at room temperature

the worst thing you could do is drain them to 0% and let them sit there for a while

the second worst thing would be extensive heat (extensive cold is not good either, but heat damages the battery)

what they do not like either would be sitting charged/charging at 100% for a prolonged period of time (even though software and battery management help reduce stress on the battery, at least to a degree)
