Hi all, just a quick question.

Does charging my Pro all night ruin it in anyway? If I leave it on overnight I mean.

That's all.

Thanks.

Talking from experience: if you have a recent machine, then no. If you have a pre unibody aluminum MBP, then just don't. I left mine plugged in all night (It's fair to say it was a 4 year old machine) and the logic board just died. They told me at the repair shop that it was fried, probably from leaving it plugged in.

Leaving it plugged in all night did not affect your logic board. The repair shop was 100% wrong. The facts I stated apply to all Mac notebooks, including pre-unibodies (like the one I'm on right now). They all stop charging when the battery is fully charged.

And applies to PowerBooks too.
