Not only that, they were getting ready to tour again, however he was not going to be on it due to health issues.

Well. they did sell out around 1963. So all the £££ and $$$ has kept 'em going ever since.

Saw an interview with Mick Jagger talking about the money it costs to be on tour, he said it was all business, something like a million dollars for each gig. Tractor trailers worth of equipment and props. I remember when I was in college (I am 77) going to a bar near school and Honky Tonk Woman was always playing on the juke box. Take a moment and listen to the opening, it is all Charlie Watts, and it is driving force throughout the entire song.

Great documentary on Netflix about their South American Tour ending Cuba with 500,000 fans (in a Communist country!)

RIP Charlie, sorry I never got to see you live. Not only only one of the greatest bands, but greatest stage performers as well.

He was a great drummer. Given their lifestyle, I'm kinda surprised he lasted this long.
