Chat on Macrumors

So I'm not sure if this is the place to put this post, but what do you think about a chatroom on the forum? I know other forums that have it and I think it would be interesting to let people get in and talk about different stuff if they wanted to. Any other ideas?

MacRumors does have an official IRC channel. It's #macrumors on irc.krono.net. It's usually pretty dead, though, except during keynotes or other big Apple events, which might be why there's never been much interest in building a web-based chat. (More Info)

I think a tab for chat would be absolutely great. I think they the Admins should look into this...great potential in making MR a even better site.(if thats possible)

That's a good thing but I'm talking about a tab up next to User CP or something. A Chatroom built into to forum, not an add on. I know I would get online when I was bored or to kill time or meet new people.

I think there are some java based irc clients if you want it accessible via web browser.
