Chatroulette internal microphone problem

Hi guys, I was wondering how to fix this problem: when I go on chatroulette or omegle or online chatting sites, the microphone receives the sound and makes it very distorted and low pitched. I've tried going through all of the preferences for the microphone. Thanks for any help you can provide.

you want to click the "remove ambient noise" button in sound settings.
