Can anybody recommend a cheap sata II controller card that has 2 internal ports for a 2006 Mac Pro 2.66? I'm maxed out with SATA drives internally and would like to add a pair of SSDs in the optical bay (on top of the 2 2.5" velociraptors that are already there). Any help would be appreciated.

I suppose you're already using the 2 extra SATA ports on the logic board?

I don't think anyone makes a Mac Pro compatible PCIe controller with 2 internal ports. Sonnet makes a 4-port internal controller (Tempo E4i), but they hover around $170.

Well, a 4-port internal card would be fine, but they're all >$150. I'm already using 6 drives inside; the 2 motherboard sata ports are hooked up to 2.5" velociraptors. I'm hoping to spend ~$50. I guess if I can't find an internal port model, I will just reroute esata cables back inside.
