Hello!

I want to purchase a monitor to accompany a new MBP, but I am totally put off by the high price of the ACD, so I am wondering if people have any suggestions on a much cheaper option.

Budget would be between €200-400, and would only mainly be used for work purposes, as opposed to using it for any graphic heavy uses.

Any suggestions?

I've heard good things about Dell displays, I don't know what models are in your price range but check them out.

Thanks mrkramer - I presume all other monitors, like the Dell ones are fully compatible with the MBP once you have the correct adaptor?

Just be aware youll be looking in the less-than-or-24" category (I havent seen a decent resolution screen which is larger than 24" for under $500/€400. For your purposes Id definitely look at DELL and HP Screens (Ive had good luck with both brands), and Id recommend hunting for a 1920*1080 screen (21.5" or so seems to be the size) - as they tend to be cheapish and high enough resolution to get most things done :)
