...I got a buffalo case, its a cross between a plastic shell back with a leather folio front and back cover that snaps closed so the protection all round the unit is very good (including protecting the dock connector and it was only Y1980.

if the seller ships from the same state as the buyer, then yes the buyer has to pay taxes. You can see which state the seller sells from on the eBay auction.
