Cheap dock that works with iOS 8 & 9?

I am looking for a dock for my iPad Air that's not overpriced. I bought one of the cheap Lightning ones from an eBay seller, but while it charges the iPad it won't actually sync (i.e. it's not recognized by my computer)!

Can anyone give me a link to a model that actually works? Currently running iOS 9, but the same thing happened with iOS 8.

Are all of your drivers updated? What was the brand you purchased? Have you tried Belkin?

Yes. But just to make sure I tried it on a Windows PC as well as a Mac, same result.

What was the brand you purchased?

No name, made in China...

Have you tried Belkin?

No. The cheapest dock I could find on Belkin's site cost $60 (Express Dock) and frankly, that's way more than I want to spend...

I think, with Apple docks, you're going to get what you pay for.
