hi!

Some of you would possibly remember that I've asked opinions on Sony/Canon/Nikon's DSLR? well I've gone for the Sony and it's pretty awesome.

Now I would like to find out if there's a generic Sony a100 shutter remote that's compatible with it. The original Sony remote is SOOOO expensive; it's a bloody button with a piece of wire...

I've heard that any "digital" shutter remotes are compatible. is this true?

I don't know if every remote is compatible, but there are many generic remotes that work. If you search for "a100 remote" on amazon or ebay, you'll find lots of different options for 10 bucks or so. The remote I ordered is still in the mail, so I can't tell you how it works.
