anyone have thoughts on cheap monitors for color correcting? Not looking at NEC or Eizo under 27". would be preferred.

thanks for any suggestions

I'm quite pleased with my 24" Asus ProArt. Color is always bang on when I have something printed with no corrections. That said it took a bit of time to get black level set correctly. And make sure the blue compensation is set to level zero for critical color. I usual run that at Level 2 as it's easier on my eyes.

BenQ have a range of monitors for photography that get very good reviews. The SW range. 27” is the most popular size, but they do a 24”. SW242Q

thanks for the suggestions. I am planning on using this with a mini and I'll probably have to upgrade my old calibrator so I should assume to make sure it's a usb-c connection??? any reason to have any other type of connection like hdmi?

thanks again for the help

Decent devices should have both usb c and a. They don’t have HDMI as that port is used by your monitor, not for calibration. Look at the Calibrite 123. Does what you need. Full disclosure, I work for the company that makes them.
