Hi

I am looking to get a NAS solution to stream my iTunes library to my mac and ps3 as well as files etc. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on where to buy? And what to buy?

•under £300
•2 or 4 bays
•hot swappable if possible for this price
•good build quality
•good support
•2 x 1 TB HDD

I have looked at the qnap ts-219 as it seems ideal but wanted to know either the best price for it any discounts? Or something of equal spec / quality. I know I'm asking a lot for the price but just need to keep it as low as possible.

dabs.com have got the NetGear Ready Nas Duo for £125. You could get 2x 1TB Caviar Green HDs for £90 or even go up to 2x 2TB for £140.

If you want a newer NAS enclosure, the new Synology DiskStation DS211J is getting good reviews and is still in your budget at £165.

Anyone had any experience using the net gear ready NAS?

Got one works fine with pc mac ps3 etc
