I don't get why someone would buy one and sell it at an even cheaper price when they havent opened it.

Try Amazon in that case. If not, then use CL. You can get used ones that should be in great shape, and see it in hand before purchase.

Yep, Amazon or eBay would be your best bets. You can't expect to get one that's cheaper from the Apple store itself, since you don't want a second-hand piece.

You best bet is to look for discount sales. For example, I occasionally get 10% discount card for Target. It's not much, but since they sell iPods you can save $29.90 off a $299 16gb Touch. Better still, Target often puts them on "sale" by throwing in a $30 to $50 gift card with purchase. Since it's not a discounted price, you still get 10% off the $299 price AND get the gift card to use later.

Best Buy does similar deals, and if you're a best buy card holder you'll get frequent discount coupons in the mail. Look at WalMart too, as they'll usually have iPods for a little less than everywhere else. Amazon.com is marking down current Touches in preperation for the new one which should show up in Sepetember. A 16gb is now $274.95

If you wouldn't mind getting a refurbished iPod Touch from Apple, you can get them for about $260 for the 16 GB, or $180 for the 8 GB.

Or if you're lucky, see if you can find someone who is trying to buy a computer system from Apple, like a MBP or whatever. Maybe you can buy the free iPod Touch off of them for a relatively cheaper price, for about $200 or $250.

In conjunction with the free iPod Touch idea, maybe you can find some of those very same iPod Touch's on craigslist/ebay for a relatively cheaper price as well, as they are more or less untouched.

Good luck in your bargain hunting :)
