Wait, what?

If you bought a 4S on AT&T at launch, it will now cost you $215 to cancel your contract. Then, it will cost you $200 to buy a 5 on Verizon. $415

Conversely, if you want to upgrade early on AT&T, it will cost you $250 + the $200 to buy a new iPhone. $450

Can someone please explain to me why (unless you LOVE AT&T, which you are entitled to your preference~) anyone would not change carriers? It's almost like AT&T is making it too easy to leave ...

Have you tried contacting AT&T about your concerns? I know at least one person complained and got a bill credit for the difference.

You'll be paying an activation fee for Verizon (unless you can get it waived) and also your first month's bill will be bigger because you get billed a month in advance.

So really, it's not cheaper.

Don't switch from gsm to cdma. Ever.

Considering I reside in a city and only reside in cities for work, using CDMA really isn't a worry as I have LTE in all major cities I travel in.

I can understand if you live in the middle of no where, however.

They more or less told my dad, piss off.
