What is the least expensive computer option if I was looking for a system that is capable of running Final Cut Pro?

Thanks.

All Macs can run Final Cut Pro; however, you're going to see a correlation between hardware and performance. It's really quite simple with computers: if you purchase higher-end, higher-performance hardware...you get better results when running your software.

Just spend what you can afford, don't skimp on your hardware or you'll regret it.

All of them as said before but Motion tends to kill GPUs.

If you can avoid that then anything Intel is where I'd draw the line.

I was under this impression, but I purchased Final Cut from my school store at a discounted rate and installed it into my 13" MBP and when it got done installing and I went to open it I got a message that said, "This program requires an AGP graphics card."

I can't believe this issue is still around. How old is that copy of FCP?

As far as I know, all current Macs can run FCP.

If you're REALLY on a tight budget, check the refurbished Macs on the Apple site. You can easily save $2-300

That has to be at newest FCP 4 or 4.5 HD to require the AGP card. I know for certain FCP 5 aka FCP Studio 1 did not require that.
