I'm in Canada and thought it would be cheaper to buy a mb pro in the US but it seems to be the same price. Anyone know the best place to get one? I know refurbs are cheap too. Cheers.

Ebay. I bought mine from Ebay, from CustomTechSales, and they are 100% reliable + they've got some great Macs

I bought mine from my school because they offered the same student discounts in ADDITION to a free wireless printer, which I find to be wildly convenient.

Apple refurbished for machines in pretty much top quality (they everything but the internals.) or a preowned website like ebay. Also, you can get a student discount for buying new apple products as well as getting it at amazon where there is no tax.

How is it tax free?

Free printer is offered at apple too after rebate.
