I have Mid '09 MacBook Pro 2.26GHz which currently has 2gb of ram. I would like to upgrade to 4gb. Im just wondering where the cheapest place (UK, GBP) is to buy this. May even be cheaper just buying 1 stick 4gb and have 1x4b+1x1gb in my machine.

Just a side note, will i see a performance difference with upgrading the ram?

Thanks :)

I have always found crucial rather cheap for ram, and the after care, if needed , is very good.

When upgrading ram it's better to se matched pairs (i.e. 2 x 2gb stick) and yes you should see an improvement when upgrading the ram.

4gb of RAM shipped to Greece costed 113 euros. So given that the UK has a lower VAT and 1-2pounds shipping with Royal Mail I think you should go with crucial UK.
