My friend have a ~2005 white MB (will send me the exact model number soon).
I found the screen for $150 at iFixIt, but he's looking for a much cheaper option :D

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I would look at ebay sales for comparable MacBooks listed as "parts only". They often go for very low prices, and if the problem sounds like a logic board or CPU issue there's a good chance the LCD will be fine.

Even some working MacBooks from that era go for less than the price of that $150 LCD. Apple's computers hold value better than many others, but 10 years is an *old* computer.
