About a year ago, RAM at www.macsales.com was about $45 for a pair of 2 gig sticks for my 2.2 MBP. Why is that same RAM now over $100 pretty much everywhere?

Any suggestions on where to find the most affordable RAM now?

RAM prices have been going up all the time, that's why. I don't know the reason but maybe demand is higher than supply so manufacturers have problems to manufacture enough RAM so they can easily bump the price as there are enough buyers.

NewEgg is pretty good place to get RAM

RAM has come up a lot in the past year. Prices are continuing to rise.

Usually, Crucial, Ramjet, and OWC are your best bets for a good price on RAM that's actually going to work in your Mac.
