Cheapest/ safest place to buy Windows 7?

Running bootcamp on my MBP and need a copy of Windows 7.

Where's the cheapest place to buy a copy? Anyone on here do them? Or anywhere on the net that can get a FREE safe copy?

Also does the MBP cope with viruses etc or do I need to buy anti virus too??

If not then your best bet will be to get an OEM disc, which costs around £70. (Do a Google search)

It will be a Windows PC so you'll need virus protection. There are plenty of free ones available so no need to buy.

OK, so If i go with the link you have provided, which one is the correct one to go for? Is this the one? Or is this only if you have Windows already and want to upgrade?

Notice they do a 32 and 64 bit. Whats this? (same price).

Also do you have a link to a recommended antivirus? I dont want to google one and download a corrupt one.

Everyone was surprised when they made that because it's actual good. Efficient, free and extremely lightweight.

As for 32-bit vs 64-bit, you want 64-bit. Unless you have a single-core processor, which I highly doubt.

Windows 32 and 64 bit all depend on how much ram you have. At least for a pc, 3gb and below of ram is a 32 bit os and 4 gb and above is a 64 bit os.

Thanks Guys. I have MBP. Intel Core i7. 4GB Memory / AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512/ Lion 10.7.2

1. I assume the 64 bit is needed for my Spec?

2. Also, regards to what Windows 7 CD I need. Is this the one? OR is this not the full version and only a update version for existing Window users??

3. Is a media or download copy best?
