I have an amazon gift card and was looking for the cheapest I can get for the size. Of course reliability matters as well.

The cheapest ones I saw were $100 for 64gb.

And another thing, should I wait for prices to come down, or buy now?

$115 gets you a 64GB Crucial M4.

$99 gets you a 500GB Seagate Hybrid drive with 4GB SSD.

The SSDs I saw below $100 are not the ones I would recommend.

i had $105 to spend in may, and was in the same predicament as you. I was going to buy the xt, but It had a lot of issues at the time (not sure if it still does). I decided instead to go for an ssd with a generic optibay and superdrive enclosure for an extra $30 which basically gives you a superior worry free version of the xt at the expense of your superdrive.

64GB Samsung 470 is $111. Reliable drive that seems to work will in Mac products.
