I have an ongoing case with Apple regarding my two revision A MBAs that have horrible video stutter with both iTunes purchase video and small online flash video (both of which are fine even on my old G4 iMac).

Despite this being a known, Apple UK customer relations have determined that the machines are within spec, though I know that a number of people have had their machines replaced with Rev. B machines due to this known issue.

I am looking for a cheap video application that will do a screen capture so that I can mail the files to Cupertino and post them online.

Any recommendations?
 
Have a look as well to Screen Mimic.

And this one and iShowU quoted above run in trial mode with a text printed on the capture. This allows you to do your test maybe without buying them if it's a one shot...
 
Personally, I LOOOOOVVVVEEE Skitch.

It's free and it can take full screen captures and a whole HECK of a lot more.
