Cheapest way to connect MBP to HDTV?

Hi guys. I'm looking for the cheapest way to successfully connect my 2.2Ghz MBP to my LG HDTV. My tv has HDMI, DVI, and Composite inputs. I keep finding HDMI to DVI cables online, but:

1. I've heard there are different types of DVI and I need to get the right one (not sure what the right one is).
2. They are so freaking expensive! £59-159!!!

Can I just got with a DVI to DVI cable? Or do I need HDMI to DVI? My reason for connecting it to my TV is so I can watch movies from my laptop on the TV.

Any direct links to specific cables you recommend would really be appreciated.

You can go DVI to DVI, but remember, the sound is separate, so you'll need to run a second cable for that.

true, but it's easier to get ripped off buying dvi-hdmi cables.

True. But when you look around, you find the deals. Me, I normally just buy them from best buy or the like, convenience is sometimes more important than price to me.

If the TV has digital in, he should be able to use it instead of RCA, although those are more expensive.

Not really going to notice too big of a difference if it's just the TV's left and right speakers

If you want quality, invest in surround sound system~

True, didn't think about it since I have a surround system always hooked up to my tv.

Yeah that'll do just fine. Didn't realise they were now so cheap on Amazon, I saw a DVI to HDMI adapter in some store at my girlfriends and it was £24.99
