if you buy a mbp thru ADC can u still get the free nano?

or

can you buy a mbp and ipod off amazon and get the free nano ?

or

is it only exclusively though apple.com?

I believe the developer store can't be combined with other offers. The rebate on the ipod is through apple, so I don't think you can get it by purchasing at amazon.

1. No

2. Maybe, depends on whether or not Apple allows you to buy from other parties and get the rebate. I doubt it.

3. This would be your best bet, besides it is EDU STORE only. You are already getting a discount, which is better than Amazon. Am I right?

From the FAQ:

You must purchase the qualifying products from the online Apple Store for Education Individuals, a retail Apple Store, Apple Telesales, or a participating Apple Authorized Campus Store located in the United States or District of Columbia.

If you're in school or knows someone in school try the university computer store. Some actually have lower prices than the academic price from apple and they will still be running the same ipod promo.

yeah, my brother goes to UCLA and says they have the 2.16 ghz white macbooks WITH applecare for only 1149! He jumped on that and bought an ipod and sold that for 150.
