I'm a very cheap person, but I finally got my hand on a second-hand iPhone 2g.
It's what I hoped it would be and much more, I couldn't be any more delighted with any other gadget.
But a lot of iPhone functionality reuires sending data.
Right now I pay 12 pounds for broadband at home, an ca 10 quid for mobile data on t-mobile (4 x 2.5 boosters), but that only gives me GPRS as t-mobile has no EDGE coverage to my knowledge.
I assume o2 would be the provider that has the best EDGE infrastructure, but I don't see a single plan that would be neraly cheap enough.
Do you have ideas on how to achieve mobile data under 15/month?
I'm thinking that if I switched to a 3g version, I could fit it easily...

Only UK network provides a fullish EDGE coverage is O2, and with my experience, O2's EDGE doesn't offer anything much greater than GPRS, but if you do wish to stick with 2G, there is a simplicity plan, only monthly contract, I suggest you to check out.
