Wife dropped her phone, it didn't crack the screen. In fact, you can't even tell she dropped it. (In a case). However, it just blinks green and nothing comes up on screen. It still rings and receives text. Siri still responds. Annnnnnnd, she's never backed it and is in panic mode.

I would expect you could get a screen cheap on eBay but not sure of the quality compared to the original..

That’s not good. Same thing happened to my daughters iPad last month. It’s been backed up so it’s not a total loss but I think you’ve got an issue.

In many cases, it's not the display itself but a connector on the logic board. When you drop the phone, the impact can tear apart soldered connectors and pins. This requires reballing and/or resoldering.

Take it to a good repair shop where they can actually do some circuit testing.

Should I start with the genius bar to tell me if it's the screen? I understand Apple is probably the most expensive way to get this resolved.

You can probably back it up via iTunes. Might be a good place to start.

You’d need to trust the PC and that means clicking on the prompt that comes up on the iPhone screen...

Realistically I wouldn’t want anyone except Apple to look at this IF you want data to be preserved.

Just my opinion, stay away from third-party repair shops. Some of them are not trained in specific areas when it comes to more tenuous repairs, which likely you have the flex cables are loose or the logic board is damaged. I would definitely allow Apple to assess the situation first, then move to your next solution.

A family member of mine had an iP6 screen replaced, and he's had issues ever since (a 3rd Party replacement). Sometimes on a call the screen will just black out and not come back till it's reset, I'd definitely be careful what you have put in.

Go in and see a Apple genius, Apple dislike third party replacements parts on there items if forbid you ever get a fault with your phone and take it to them with a non Apple screen they will not even look at it!

Go to see a Genuis.
Don't trust these 3rd party screens, they are not OLED and in fact are cheap LCD copies and you will deeply regret it.
