looking to buy a new(sealed) one and curious what's the best price people have seen them at? Best Buy has them for 124 now but if they have gone lower I wouldn't mind waiting

I've been in the same boat as you, waiting for the price of the Magic Trackpad 2 to drop.
I really don't think it's had any significant discounts since its release in 2015, and wouldn't count on a price drop anytime in the near future.
For a $6 difference, I'd trust in the higher quality of Apple's customer service, and buy it directly from there. Better yet, you can request a price match at the Apple Store.

I got mine brand new from eBay for $80. Was still in shrink wrap. I'd just keep looking there until you find the best deal for now!
Shrink wrap isn't the most reliable determinate of whether or not something is new. All it takes is a shrink wrap machine to make used items look new.
