Check fraud! Grrr!

Just got hit with three $500 checks at a casino, and there's a couple problems. I don't gamble, and I've never been there.

Went to my bank, the dispute process is underway, and my account's been frozen. Still need to open a new account, transfer all my direct deposits, move the funds from old to new once that dust settles, new debit cards, reprocess all of my online payments (I do three months in advance!) and on & on.

What do I want for my birthday? Five minutes alone with the twunt that did this.

Been there, done that. Debit card version though. Make a police report too. It helps. Depending on your bank, it can be settled quickly enough.

Condolences though.

Just did this yesterday! My car was stolen and I keep a checkbook in the glovebox. It was more preemptive than anything, but better safe than sorry.
