Hi all,
Just to let you know when purchasing a new ACD: check the serial of the ACD before opening the box to see if it is a new one and not the old model. I just purchased one last week and today it finally came. As excited as I was I openend the box and installed the 23" ACD gently. But the modelnumber (M9178ZM/A) on the box kept bugging me. So I looked on internet and found a serialtool. It told me that this was a 23" ACD which was built in week 26 2006. After that I found a site from Apple and typed in my serial. It came up with the specs of the old ACD. So now I packed it in and tomorrow it will be returned. I specifically asked for a new one and gave the updated specs of the new 23" ACD (14ms, 700:1, 400 cd/m2), and still they sell you an old model. Moral of the story: be carefull with the purchase of an ACD and check the serial on the box first, there is a lot of old inventory out there!
