I don't know if it's just me but the left side of the screen has kind of a pinkish hue not very much though when viewing from the middle of the screen.

I don't know if it's just eye strain or etc...
Are there any programs to check for uneven coloring?

Well, you could simply make a white image file larger than your screen and view it full screen in safari or something, and just eyeball it. Looking from a slight distance will probably make it easier to judge.

just make a white windows surface using safari or preview and resize it small to about a quarter of the screen and drag it around the screen and watch the white shading on the window changes. if one area of the screen gives a whiter shade than the other than obviously the screen is not evenly lit.

there are a bunch of LED arrange in a row on the bottom to light up the screen, and it's not uncommon for one of those LED to have a slightly different hue than the rest.
