Don't know about the uk but on the us phone goto settings, press phone and the last option is AT&T services (might say O2 services for you). You press that and the next menu you can chose view my minutes and it will send you a text of minutes and texts used. Or on the keypad you just dail *646# and you get the same text message. Hope this helps.

go to www.o2.co.uk and log in, click recent charges... then recent charges again in the side bar, then usage or somesuch.

there's a 24hour delay tho so keep an eye on it.
Unfortunately the O2 website is as good as useless. Out of interest I checked last night after 6 days of iPhone usage and it gave me absolutely no information at all.

T-Mobile, on the other hand, allow you to dial a particular number and get an up to date summary of the remaining allowance. They also send a text every Thursday to tell you what you have left.

O2 should really get their act together!

Was having the same issue as you, until I followed the instructions re the O2 site as per the poster above, and now have access to all calls made; remaining minutes and remaining texts.

Once you click on "recent charges" on the main section of the page, then select "recent charges" from the LHS nav bar, a subsection called "Inclusive Allowance" comes up which gives you all the information you are looking for!

Granted it's not obvious, but the information you need is in there - however, would agree the T-Mobile/Virgin offering is far more communicative!

just found that yesterday. you would have thought it would be easier!!! anyone seen the free texts on the 02 website? it says i can send 10!

Yeah, if you follow what I said, you should come to it. Ill do a couple of screen grabs, because its not entirely obvious...

In the first pic, select "recent charges".
In the second, select "recent charges" (this time in the sidebar)
In the third, just click the "inclusive allowance details"

It does seem like they're wanting to hide it, but thats the way :)

no problem. I think it updates every hour from the day before.
e.g. If I sent 2 texts at 1pm yesterday it would have just shown up on the allowance used at 1pm today. Which definately isn't ideal but puts us in the right ballpark at least :)

As long as it's no more than 24 hours out of date I'm satisfied. :)
