Checking update before to connect Apple Watch

I recently bought the iPhone XR and i want to connect the Apple Watch on the new phone but i can’t. I follow the steps but flore to continue unlink the Apple Watch and now appears this screen “checking software update” but it’s taking too long.

I ask for help or suggestions.
