Chess, human vs human, why does the game not end at checkmate?

I played chess with another person and I checkmated him, yet the game does not end. Is the game glitched or is there a move we are missing? Here is a screenshot of where we are at:

What's stopping him from moving his King to the left or right? It's been a long time since I've played chess, but it seems like i'm missing something if he can't just move the King to the left or right. You only seem to have him in check with your bishop.

EDIT: Wait a minute, it's the other way around. Silly me.

I can't see a move his King can make. You're right, it does seem to be checkmate.

Looks like checkmate if you're black. The only things I can suggest other (other than a glitch) is that you're playing one of the alternative versions of Chess. There's Killer Chess etc on the Mac. Make sure you're not playing one of those. If not ... report it as a bug to the developers (probably source team).
