Chess not remembering difficulty setting

It always boots up on computer playing "faster" (ie easy) all the way to the left. When I move it to something else, it works fine, but after quitting and relaunching chess it goes back to faster again.

Why?

Try erasing com.apple.Chess.plist from your ~/Library/Preferences folder.

It probably is corrupted or isn't being overwritten.
