Chess speech in Leopard 10.5.8

Hi,

I have followed all the guidelines given, and checked if my voice is recognized to make sure mike is turned on and enabled chess preferences, but when I say "pawn e2 to e4" which is what it tells me to say, I just get ???. Any thoughts? I started a new thread because the old one on this subject is over 3 years old.

Does the Apple Microphone application pop-up and show that the sound is being heard? If it does, I guess voice-recognition still sucks. Can you make other voice functions work through OS X?
