It appears that Chet Culver, Governor of Iowa, is an iPhone user. 
Recently, after an EF-5 class tornado devastated a small Iowa town, he took the opportunity to hand his phone off to one of the impacted, so they could talk directly to President Bush.
Directly after, Bush declared the county a disaster area, so I guess the iPhone really can get things done!
