I already filed a bug report with Apple, but wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar issue to this with their car. My wife just recently picked up this 2010 Equinox, and it has the factory non-navigation radio with USB port in the glove box. I have iCloud Music Library enabled on my phone, but I keep music app set to show "Only downloaded Music" so that I w I'm playing stuff off of my phone and not streaming as does my wife. The issue is whenever I plug one of phones into her car, after a few seconds, the music app will still show the "Only Downloaded Music" toggle on, but it has magically switched to displaying and playing all the music in our library. I noticed this yesterday when it started playing a song I know wasn't downloaded to my phone, and verified it was showing everything. I then attempted to cycle the Only Downloaded toggle, but it didn't change anything. I unplugged the phone and had to swipe up and force kill the music app to get it to return to the proper setting of only downloaded music.
I've tried this multiple times with both phone and the behavior is consistent. Neither of them do this on my Jeep Wrangler or her old Outback, so clearly it's something with how the GM system indexes the iPhone and reads music from it. Just curious if anyone else with a GM vehicle or another make has observed this as well.
