I read this article and had to check the date to see it wasn't April 1st, 1500 jumpers knitted by local do-gooders. Whatever next?

As long as there are animals, there will be humans shaming them by dressing them in ridiculous outfits.

While at first glance it may seem silly, these jumpers are actually being made because the chickens have lost their feathers. Battery chickens in poor conditions tend to bully each other by tearing out feathers or lose them as a stress response.

These are rescued chickens, so they're probably fairly traumatized. It'd be the same sort of thing as making coats for long-haired dogs who for some reason of abuse had lost their hair.

Really though, they need a "C" in a crest, like Superman, on those. Up up and away!

Urgent: Bald cocks in the care of the Little Hen Rescue in Greenways, Newton Flotman, are also getting wet quite regularly. If any kind soul will spend their free time sewing together some rubber raincoats for a bunch of wet cocks, please do so immediately. The protection is appreciated.
